Watch Videos on JW.ORG

Watch a video or all the videos in a collection. Pause, rewind, or fast-forward.

 Find and Play a Video

Go to LIBRARY > VIDEOS to see all available videos, including those filmed in our JW Broadcasting studio.

Select a video category.

Within a category, each heading represents a collection of videos. To see more videos in a collection, scroll left or right through the collection or click the See All button.

Watch or share a video using one of the following methods:

  • Click the Play button on the video player.

  • Click the Download button to save the video to your computer or mobile device. (Note: Some mobile devices may require an additional application to download files. If you have the JW Library app installed on your mobile device, we recommend that you use it for videos that you wish to download and play offline.)

  • Click the Share button to send someone a link to the video. For more details, see “Share a Link to an Article, a Video, or a Publication.”

  • To watch the video in a different language, select the desired language from the Languages drop-down list next to the title of the video.

Play All Videos in a Category or a Collection

Click the Shuffle button on a video category page to play all videos in the category in random order.

There are two ways to watch all the videos in one collection with a category:

  • Click the Play All button next to a video collection to play all the videos in the collection in the order they are listed on the page.

  • Click the Shuffle button next to a video collection to play all the videos in the collection in random order.

Note: Playback will stop when all the videos in the category or collection have been played.

 Control Video Playback

Control the video playback as follows:

  • Click the Full-Screen button on the video-player bar to enter or exit full-screen mode.

  • Click the Pause button to pause the video.

  • Click the Play button to resume.

  • Drag the Playhead forward or backward to move to a different place in the video.

  • Click the Volume button and slide the indicator to adjust the volume. On a mobile device, you can also use the audio button of the device.

 Change Video Settings

Click the Settings button and select the desired resolution. (Note: This feature is not supported by all browsers.)

What do these numbers mean? A higher number represents higher video quality, which requires a faster Internet connection. Choose the resolution that works best for your Internet speed, screen size, and budget.

The following table explains each video resolution:

Resolution

Description

240p

Lowest quality. Works well on small mobile-device screens.

360p

Low quality. Works well on small mobile-device screens.

480p

Standard definition. Works well on tablets, computer monitors, and standard-definition TV screens.

720p

High definition (HD). Works well on a computer monitor with a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768 or on an HDTV with a resolution of at least 1280 x 720.

Why change the video resolution? If your Internet connection is slow and you find that the video playback often pauses or is jerky, it may be better to use a lower-resolution video. Set the resolution to the highest number that works well on your computer or device. You may also choose a lower setting if you need to save money on Internet data.

Click the Subtitles button to enable or disable subtitles in the same language as the audio track of the video.

Note: Subtitles are not available for all videos.
